Subsequent to earning her Bachelor of Artsin psychology and elementary education from now Immaculata University in Pennsylvania in 1965 Patricia Thompson Gillen contemplated on what area of education to study for her forthcoming Masters degree. Upon the encouragement of her of her advisor at Villanova University also in Pennsylvania, she decided to pursue her interestin psychology by means of delving into the area of guidance and counseling. Shortly thereafter Trish received her Master of Arts degree in Education in the area of Guidance and Counseling from Villanova University in 1967. She considers receiving both her Bachelor and Master degrees as the highlights of her career. Trish graduated high school from Villa Maria Academy in Santiago, Chile, in 1960, where she was presently living with her parents. She also attended Notre Dame of Maryland Preparatory School in Baltimore, Maryland and her local parochial school St. Jane Frances for her elementary education. Trish was in most of the elementary and middle schools in the Chester Upland School District in Pennsylvania counseling students in myriad capacities.
